Nordonia Hills City School District proudly announces the launch of its new website Friday, September 18, 2009.  The website contains many new features to help keep stakeholders informed and to foster communication between the school and the community.

The new website offers easy navigation.  The home page tailors links to parents, students, staff and community members.  It also offers the latest news, links to the schools, and quick links to calendars, directories and athletic information. 

“The district wanted to make sure the visitors to their website could find relevant and timely information easily.  It hopes the site can become a true resource for parents, students and the community,” said Rob O’Leary, CEO of Infinite Cohesion and creator of eSchoolView, the content management system Nordonia’s site uses.  O’Leary designed the site so parents and students can access forms, school supply lists, grades, assignments and other information from home.  The site also offers an RSS news feed to help keep the public and the press informed of newsworthy events at Nordonia Hills.

The home page also offers viewers a variety of ways to access information.  For example, its calendar offers a filter where visitors can choose to look at events at a specific building or district wide.  Visitors can also link to separate pages for each of the district’s six schools. 

Each school is in the process of putting vital information on its pages to help parents stay connected.  Specifically helpful information, such as grade level curricular programs and expectations are also available on the elementary sites.  Each school highlights upcoming events, and helps parents stay informed and get involved with links to the PTSA organizations, newsletters, and fine arts departments.

The district knows this investment in communication will be a positive force in forging and maintaining relationships between the district and the community it serves.  The website can be found at www.nordoniaschools.org.
